How to set up Afterpay

Complete the below steps to add and display Afterpay as a payment method. 

Part 1. Set up Afterpay account

1. Create Afterpay Merchant account > https://get.afterpay.com/app/

Part 2. Connect to Shopify store 

1.  Navigate to Shopify Admin.

1.  Navigate to Settings > Payment Providers
2. Under the ‘Alternative payments’ section, click on the ‘Select additional payment method’ dropdown.
3. 🇺🇸 (For the US) Select ‘Afterpay North America’ from the dropdown options. OR 🇦🇺  (For AU/NZ) Select ‘Afterpay’ from the dropdown options.
4.  Enter the Merchant ID provided by Afterpay into the Merchant ID field. The Merchant ID is a number. If you don't have this please contact your Afterpay Account Manager.
5.  Enter the Secret Key provided by Afterpay into the Secret Key field.
6.  Be sure not to check the ‘Enable test mode’ box, as pictured below.
7.  Click the ‘Activate Afterpay’ button.

• Ensure all shipping info in the shipping terms & conditions and the FAQ pages in your store say  “Production Time: 1-3 Days” “Shipping Time: 5-21 days”

• Ensure that ‘enable test mode’ is not selected 
• Store Address must correspond to the Afterpay account region
• Store Currency must correspond to the Afterpay account region
